Scores Race

The 2019 Scores Race will take place on 25th August, with the Senior race starting at 2:30pm, and the Junior race starting at 2.35pm.

This will be the 24th year of this unique race taking a course from/to Lowestoft High Street via a route to and along the northern sea wall and returning via the town’s historic Scores  up and down a total of 13 stepped hills. This is a demanding race, and care needs to be taken over the course of approx 4.75 miles and 401 steps (the Junior race covers approx 1.4 miles and 254 steps).

Entries on the day subject to availability (+£2) between 13:00 and 14:00 at Race HQ, Christchurch Hall, Herring Fishery Score.

Senior race details

The Senior race is open to all competitors over the age of 16 on race day. Prizes will be awarded for the first three finishers (male and female) and age group winners in 5 year bands from 40-70. There will be team prizes for affiliated Clubs and works/social teams.

The Junior race will again be open to Juniors from the age of 9. Separate prizes will be awarded in the 9-12 and 13-15 age groups.
